The Democratic Socialists of America are virulently against funding the Iron Dome missile defense system,

and have been against it long before Hamas started the current war in Gaza.

In 2021, they claimed that a defense system that protects Israelis from Hezbollah and Iranian missile attacks was part of what they call the "Zionist expansionist agenda".

They called out both Representative Jamaal Bowman and AOC for not voting against funding the Iron Dome defense system back in 2021.

It appears that the DSA central committee thinks that making Israel easier to attack counts as standing with Palestinian people.

We know the Democratic Party exerts enormous discipline on Congresspeople who would dare vote against funding the Zionist expansionist agenda, but little on those who are currently forcing a crisis on funding a critical infrastructure package for the US itself. Even nominally anti-militarist progressives—and most disappointingly our DSA members in Congress Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman—did not vote against this spending.
