A small bit of encouragement today, courtesy of Facebook.

This afternoon I was giving Facebook a look, and I came across trump's statement about his meeting with the head of the Philippines, and the trade agreement that was negotiated. It was the usual stupid, self-congratulatory, pompous bunch of lies, as you might expect. The interesting thing was the group of opinions of Facebook participants, by way of the little cartoon icons that appeared in response to trump's bloviating. As of mid-afternoon, the totals were 3669 "Likes," 1488 "Loves"....and 10,886 scornful "Ha-Ha's."

A small bit of encouragement, like I say---but encouraging, nonetheless. Carry on, everybody.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
