In N Out CEO clears up "confusion" over move to Tennessee

She says she is just moving her family to Tennessee and they are expanding their business in that area but headquarters are still staying in California and she loves and appreciates California.

Shows how full of shit people are. Yes, California can be more expensive but it's also more profitable. Even having success in the red states will not bring as much as what California does.

Out of state but lived there for a long time. I tried it a few times but it was never worth the wait or hype in my opinion.

Surprised that "this is not who I am" was left on the cutting room floor.

Outside of the west coast it will fail when up against its competition.

Good riddance, I prefer Shake Shack by far

She's pissed off California has a decent minimum wage and there are robust UE insurance and health care systems she has to pay into.

These people are so out of touch, they think the $16.50 minimum wage in CA is somehow a lot because they remember working at an Ice Cream shop in the 80s or 90s and making $4.00 an hour.

Not sure about today, but they used to pay well over minimum wage and were known for being very employee-friendly.

That allowed them to hire good people and retain them. One of the reasons they were successful was that the employees were happy. That meant better quality food and better service.

my In-N-Out streak of forever absence will stay unbroken. I may have seen one in the north Texas area, but if I did, I didn't take note of it.

...I said this is what would happen. She was so clueless, the blow back shocked her. So, she's still moving to TN but leaving HQ to stay. She'll have a lot more conference calls and trips back to California.
