it's very likely being done with the approval of the MAGAs who backed Trump as the face of Project 2025. My guess is that they want a replacement for him. Time to move the bought-and-paid-for Vance into Trump's position.

Replacing Trump will not be the end of the fascists in government. But, it could cause loss of general support among the MAGA rank and file. communications between DOJ and the White House, or whether the WSJ would consider him a credible source.

It could be two to five individuals who are not public figures but worked on the Epstein case in some capacity. I haven't read the article so I don't know if these are "current" or "former", etc.. But Musk is a perfectly reasonable guess.
