Trump is sending Deputy AG Blanche to interview 'Madame Maxwell' who is no doubt eager to get out of jail. She's lived a life of sordid deception, so whitewashing the Mad King's past behavior would be no biggie. Certainly not if it meant shaving 17 years off a 20-year sentence.

Will it work?

MAGA could go either way in my estimation. Some would be genuinely relieved that their cult hero is exonerated, even by another criminal. Others won't care; they're with The Destroyer to the bitter end. However, I suspect another part of MAGA for whom the Epstein Files were a core belief will be outraged that a convicted child trafficker has been released into the wild.

If a pardon is offered? It will be very interesting to watch the spin and the subsequent public fallout.

It could easily make this whole scandal worse.
