numerous Mayan languages, with common cultural roots and a shared calendar. Thus, Mayas is proper usage when referring to them severally.

I loved that lady, Ann...can't remember her name, but she was a joy and I like seeing her face again. Been a long time....

I got to spend some time with her. She was a wonderful lady in person, not just in public.
