Epstein's former lawyer dies on July 21. (Edited for correction)

Last edited Fri Jul 25, 2025, 07:59 AM - Edit history (4)

Roy Black later worked to prevent victims from reopening the non-prosecution agreement following Epstein's death in 2019.

And why would he do that after Epstein died?

Just sayin'

I allege nothing. Just more info.

Everything above this line correct (so far)
edited I was wrong on this part- edited again as it made it more confusing Hey it's Monty Python editing. the editors have been sacked./

If you're a lawyer, you need an ethics refresher course. Privilege survives the death of a client. onenote Jul 2025 #3
I'm not, but thanks for the correction. RoeVWade Jul 2025 #5
to be clear - the status of the privilege after death can vary by state. onenote Jul 2025 #6

Acosta did a sweetheart deal without consulting with Epstein's victims.

Pretty sure that Biden/Garland could have released the Epstein files.

Dems need to call for the release of Epstein's autopsy, keep on the offensive, but they won't. Just a sec. got another text to donate campaign money. Guess we are already into GOTV time and if Dems lose, it's my fault.

It is said.

Do you suppose Krasnov (R-felon) will attend the services to show appropriate respect to his best friend's legal rep? That would be the decent thing to do. But then again, Krasnov is a republicon and we know how that goes.

So, while generally it doesn't expire, it might depend on where a case arises. But in Florida, at least, the privilege survives.
