Why pro-Israel lobby group Aipac is backing election deniers and extremist Republicans

The group places support for Israel over all over considerations, endorsing extreme rightwing candidates in the midterm elections

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/oct/18/pro-israel-lobby-group-aipac-midterms-election-deniers-and-extremist-republicans

AIPAC endorses dozens of Republicans who refused to certify Biden’s election

(Including Gym 'the paedo enabler' Jordan, ultra MAGAette cheerleader Elise Stefanik, the worm of worms Kevin McCarthy, the crazed gunhumper Greg Steube, Ronny 'Trump's drunk Dr Feelgood' Jackson, Joe 'you lie!' Wilson, John 'I am a racist, climate change denying MAGAt, but Henry Cuellar campaigns and fundraises for me so it's all good' Carter, Troy 'make shit up about being threatened, get caught, and then distract by trying to get Biden 25th Amendment'ed' Nehls, etc etc)

https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/j-street-blasts-aipac-for-endorsing-republicans-who-voted-against-certifying-2020-election-results/

AIPAC’s new political action committee announces its first string of Congressional endorsements. They are 120 lawmakers from both parties, but also includes 37 Republicans who voted against certifying the 2020 presidential election results after the January 6 insurrection — drawing criticism from rival lobby J Street.

“AIPAC’s support for these candidates endangers American democracy and undermines the true interests and values of millions of American Jews and pro-Israel Americans who they often claim to represent,” says Laura Birnbaum, J Street’s National Political Director.

“Claims of ‘bipartisanship’ cannot excuse support for candidates who only respect election results when their party wins,” the group adds.

Responding to the criticism, AIPAC spokesman Marshall Wittmann says, “as a single-issue organization, we remain focused on our mission of building bipartisan support in Congress to strengthen the US-Israel relationship.

While I am appalled at what’s happening in Gaza, I’m also aware that this person is impersonating NY Mamdani to make it look like he made these tweets.

Check your sources, people. Whoever made these posts is using the horrors of Gaza to damage Mandami’s campaign.

What Netanyahu is doing has become a crime humanity, but I'm not going to blanketly condemn a whole country when I've seen the massive Anti-Netanyahu protests there.

This is nothing but a vicious war to exterminate the Palestinian population of Gaza to clear it for Israeli settlers, as government officials have recently been gloating about. Imagine government officials being thrilled to watch babies and toddlers being starved to death.

While most scholars are in consensus that the main cause of the famine was largely man-made, it remains in dispute whether the Holodomor was intentional, whether it was directed at Ukrainians, and whether it constitutes a genocide, the point of contention being the absence of attested documents explicitly ordering the starvation of any area in the Soviet Union. Some historians conclude that the famine was deliberately engineered by Joseph Stalin to eliminate a Ukrainian independence movement. Others suggest that the famine was primarily the consequence of rapid Soviet industrialisation and collectivization of agriculture. A middle position is that the initial causes of the famine were an unintentional byproduct of the process of collectivization but once it set in, starvation was selectively weaponized, and the famine was "instrumentalized" and amplified against Ukrainians as a means to punish them for resisting Soviet policies and to suppress their nationalist sentiments.

He knows how to run an effective modern campaign, he also knows that if your political positions are anti-genocide and in agreement with 70% of Democratic voters, it's good to speak up and you will win elections. Wake up Democratic politicians!
