Why can't there be congressional hearings for the victims? The same way they had hearings for Larry Nasser

Those hearings were about FBI failures but certainly there are jarring failures that need exploration here as well.

A lot of powerful men want to attack them when they go public with their story.

We can reach out in support to our Democratic reps and ensure they are heard at some level. Maybe not in Congress (the repukes will block it), but we can always do press conferences.

I assume there are lawyers who can communicate with each other and some victims have kept in touch with each other..at least that was disclosed in interviews with Maria Farmer, Teresa Helm, both victims.

I’m technically challenged or I’d forward it to you. It’s also on YouTube on The Bulwark site under Victim Reveals Trump Link. It’s about 23 minutes long and about halfway, she talks about the victims and it might be of some interest to you. Again, apologies for not being more helpful with the forwarding. 🌺

We will still have to wait until after the midterms for hearings.

Not sure which clock you’re watching, but I’m not aware of any time limitation on having hearings.

Dems can campaign on, among other things, the promise to hold hearings on Epstein.

That should help with the midterms.

Then, the hearings themselves should help with the 2028 elections, especially if they help generate some of the articles of impeachment that are sure to come with a Dem controlled congress (witness tampering for starters, especially he pardons Maxwell).

Patience is a virtue.

7. Every Congressional Democrat needs to do a town hall

and invite the victims who want to tell their stories, invite people like Bradley Edwards who was the attorney for 5 of the victims. Invite the lead prosecutor Maureen Comey. Dems need to do more than just text me for money for campaign ads.

Do the town halls in red, blue, and purple districts. Chris Murphy is doing one. Where are Schumer and Jeffries organizing these town halls?

Democrats need to stay on the offensive, demand that the Epstein autopsy be released.
