Never agreed with Godwin's law

A loose interpretation of Godwin’s law is that the first person to mention Hitler in an argument loses that argument. I am sure I’m not the only one who thought that never made any sense. We are now building concentration camps. We are now rounding up people, including United States citizens and disappearing them without any due process by police who keep their identity secret. We are seeing the head of our nation. Ignore court orders. We are not starting down a very brutal path, we are ON that path. It is heartening to see that more and more of our Democratic representatives are starting to recognize that. There are still too many who are acting like this is politics as usual. I can only assume they never studied history. BLUE states need to jerrymander the hell out of their states to maintain a Democratic majority. it is time for the Democratic’s party to start doing voter caging in blue states on a major level. The Supreme Court has said that this is legal, it used to be illegal, however, the Supreme Court has made it legal, and the Republicans are going hog wild with it. voter caging is when you send a postcard to a voter in the mail that looks like junk mail, but says if you do not return this card, you will be removed from the voting list. Of course, gerrymandering and voter caging should be illegal, but they are not and to not play by the same rules as the Republicans are playing does not make the Democratic Party look ethical. It makes the Democratic Party look feckless and weak.Rightly so. We need to fight like hell with everything we can at the present time to try and save our democracy that so many have sacrificed so much to protect. The billionaires own the media and large platforms on the web so we need our Democratic representatives to make as much noise as possible, so that our message breaks through to the majority of the voting public who has no idea of what is going on. Everyone on this site is aware of all this, but believe me my experience in talking with people out on the street is that the vast majority of people think that everything is just going along as politics normally. Unfortunately, when the policies of this administration start kicking in, it will be around the time of the midterms and they will use everything in their power to convince people that the reason why the economy is crashing and why they are losing services that they used to have is the Democrats fault. And they have the media to be very effective at doing this, so we really need all of our democratic representatives to start pounding the table as loudly as they can. Of course we need the pound the table about Epstein, but we are on a very dangerous path right now. People who enjoy being brutal have been given a greenlight and if you think that’s gonna stop by itself, you are so very wrong..
