Trump on Wind: It's driving the whales loco. It's not going to happen in the United States.

Trump on Wind: It’s driving the whales loco. It’s not going to happen in the United States.

Windmills are not even on the list for disturbing whales:

1. Vessel Strikes: Collisions with ships are a leading cause of whale mortality, particularly for endangered species like North Atlantic right whales. Large vessels can cause severe injury or death, and whales in busy shipping lanes are at higher risk.

It is fortunately one of a very few remaining members of an endangered species; it is large, mostly orange in color (unlike any other extant cetacean), and is inclined to emit loud, incoherent sounds from its blowhole when provoked. It is especially disturbed by wind turbines that are visible from golf courses.

This week whales, few months back electric sharks, and not too recently, windmill cancer clusters. Between trump's experitise in engergy, and Kennedy's in health science, they've probably got upwards of 85% of the tin-hat demographic locked up.

7. C'mon, Donald, we know you don't care about whales. What's the real reason you hate windmills?

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
