North Carolina, it’s official: Roy Cooper is running for Senate!

Cooper is the strongest possible candidate for this race, with a winning record to run on and an unmatched electoral record in the state. Tillis’ retirement was already a blow to Republicans’ chance of winning this seat, and now those chances are even worse.

Roy Cooper is nothing like Manchin. I doubt we'd have any worries about Cooper. mucholderthandirt Jul 2025 #5

Taking back the Senate majority would be a significant limit on the damage Trump can inflict.

But I wonder how long until he is accused of being the “next Manchin”?

And he's not doing it for Shumer, he's doing it for NC, because he loves this state and wants better for us.

After 20 years in FL voting for the losing Democratic Party, I am looking forward to vote again.

So, I told him I'm in, as long as Act Blue is not involved. If they send me a mailing address, I'll be happy to send him a check.
