When discussing the Scooter Libby case with one of my BCI Senior Investigator uncles, he said you collect all the evidence you can, including some that might never be introduced in court. Then you let the prosecutor decide what to charge. It might not be what you had originally investigated. But as long as the person is convicted and incarcerated, that is the way the legal system often works.

I think we all want to concentrate on the severe damage he is doing now. Some cases are at least slowing him down. We are not in a position to stop him as a minority in the houses of Congress. The Epstein issue is, for a variety of reasons, one of the best bets to weaken him with the public now, and help us regain congressional control in the mid-terms. Thus, I'm glad it is still a hot issue, and recommend fanning the flames.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
