I worked at 345 Park Ave 1978-1987 (where shooting happened)

I worked at what was once known as Peat Marwick Mitchell now known as KPMG. Back then there was no strict security, it was pre- 9/11. They had multiple floors. I think I worked on the 18th floor.

When they said the address on the news my heart sort of skipped a beat.

I kept this from my last year there.

Sadly, mass shootings hit close to home for more and more Americans. If only we could figure out why. Jim__ Jul 2025 #1

From ABC News:

"I think it was very, very apparent through all this that a lot of us were young, a lot of us went through training in elementary school of what to do in an active shooter situation," she said. "We were all unfortunately prepared."
