Trump Hates Windmills

Trump’s visit to Scotland to promote a new golf course at his resort, cost taxpayers an estimated $10 million. Once there, he gave a press conference in which he exposed his windmill syndrome disorder.

Here are the lowlights of his presser:

“And the other thing I say to Europe: We will not allow a windmill to be built in the United States, they’re killing us.” They’re killing the beauty of our scenery, our valleys, our beautiful plains - and I’m not talking about airplanes. I’m talking about beautiful plains, beautiful areas in the United States, and you look up and see windmills all over the place. It’s a horrible thing. It’s the most expensive form of energy. It’s no good. They’re made on China, almost all of them.”

As Jon Stewart would say, “Go on.”

“The wind, the wind, the wind is, the wind is bullshit, I’ll tell you.” Wind doesn't work. It ruins the landscape, it kills the birds. They are noisy. Whales... it's driving em' crazy... They are environmentally unsound. It's the worst form of energy. The whole thing is a con job. It’s very expensive. And in all fairness, Germany tried it and wind doesn’t work.”

Facts: Germany gets more than a quarter of its electricity from wind. Turbines last about 30 years (not eight as he has claimed), it’s not the most expensive form of energy (according to the US Dept. of Energy), and they’re not “almost all made in China.”

Trump hates windmills because these were placed just offshore and visible from his golf course. He thinks they detract from his property and filed a lawsuit to prevent their installation. He lost.

So, as usual, after not getting his way, our Toddler-in-Chief threw a tantrum.

When I drive to Phoenix I pass by a huge turbine field, lazily turning in the wind. I love to look at them. This location is near Sweetwater Texas and provides a great deal of power to West Texas

That this embarrassing moron is our president and that so many people voted for him and continue to believe his bullshit, does not give me much hope for the future of this country no matter who the next president is.
I fear that we have passed the event horizon of stupidity and that the gravitational pull of lunacy due to lies, AI, social media, conspiracy theories, religious fervor, etc. may be too much to resist.
I hope I’m wrong……,
