President Trump won't rule out pardoning convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, he said Monday.
Why it matters: Trump's comments about Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence, come amid growing bipartisan pressure over his administration's handling of information tied to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Driving the news: Trump told reporters Monday that he is "allowed" to pardon Maxwell.
"Well, I'm allowed to give her a pardon but nobody's approached me with it, nobody's asked me about it," Trump said. "It's in the news about thatthat aspect of it, but right now it would be inappropriate to talk about it," he said.
Trump also said on Friday, "It's something I haven't thought about... I'm allowed to do it, but it's something I have not thought about."

Add this to Maxwell getting limited immunity 2 days ago and I can guess where this is all going.
Maxwell will tell the Deputy A.G. (Used to be Trumps lawyer) exactly what he wants to hear and the
media will sell the story that Trump has been exonerated by Maxwells testimony and both Trump
and Maxwell will walk away Scot Free.

Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell secures DOJ "limited" immunity: News reports
Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell was granted "limited" immunity by the Justice Department to answer questions about the child sex trafficking ring that led to her 20-year prison sentence, multiple outlets reported of anonymous sources.
The big picture: The Trump administration is facing intensifying pressure over its handling of information tied to the Epstein case, with bipartisan calls demanding the release of related documents.
Context: Proffer immunity agreements are standard practice for cooperators in criminal cases, and Maxwell's immunity was dubbed "limited" because it only applies if she tells the truth, NBC News reported.
Zoom in: Maxwell, who is currently appealing her conviction, spoke to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche for about nine hours over two days.

. perpetuator. This whole thing smells like the fix is in and the brand new CBS which is now
being owned by right wing billionaire and CBS/Skydance Media has now given the Trump White
House editorial control to make sure that there is no bias in CBS News reporting.
