(69,833 posts)I don't think life in prison is any kind of reward, especially in a U.S. prison. Prisons are dangerous, violent places. People are beaten, raped and murdered by guards and other inmates. It's not a vacation.
I'm glad the killer is off the streets. He was caught, tried, found guilty and sentenced in accordance with the U.S. Constitution.
If you want to live in an even more bloodthirsty country, there are some options.

(16,487 posts)I'm not entirely opposed to the death penalty, and it seems appropriate in this case, but I will also acknowledge that a life without liberty is a life not worth living.
