My dad, before he passed away, often used to joke that
he moved the the PNW because he didn't have shovel rain, lol.
Dad was in the Air Force, got stationed at Ellington AFB before it was closed in the 1970s. After he and mom divorced, he ended up in the PNW. I moved up there in 1982. Love and miss it. Had to move back to texass due to family issues.
There's a reason so many of us who grew up in texass and move out of the state say that it's a great state to be from- far from!
