A photograph authentically shows former U.S. President Barack Obama drinking beer in Southeast Asia with convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein.

The man in the photograph with Obama is late television host and chef Anthony Bourdain.

In July 2025, a photograph circulated online purportedly showing former U.S. President Barack Obama drinking beer with disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The picture was allegedly taken in a Southeast Asian country, according to numerous posts. One X user's caption read: "It was buried by the press, but not only were Obama and Jeffrey Epstein friends, they traveled around Thailand together, in search of 'the perfect spring roll'."

I knew it was Anthony Bourdain the moment I saw the picture. The only similarity between him and Epstein is both are dead.

I saw the episode on TV where Bourdain and Obama both had lunch together.

But with the context clue of a restaurant and there being no hint of a relationship between Obama and Epstein, I would have assumed correctly this was Bourdain.

But I've never seen his show, so I had only vaguely heard of him before his death. Nothing against him, but I'm an incredibly picky and boring eater so his show wasn't in my wheelhouse. He'd have shaken his head watching me eat broccoli and rice two to three times a week.

For me, that was the show's most memorable episode. They were in Indonesia, where Obama spent a few years as a young child, early in his mother's second marriage to an Indonesian man. The sad thing is that there are still MAGAts out there who are so far gone that they can watch that episode, which is easily available, and will still claim it's Epstein.

On edit: The episode took place in Vietnam, not Indonesia. We had just resumed trade with them around then, IIRC.
