The Olympic Committee needs to change the location for the 2028 Olympics. Same for the 2026 World Cup. That would

kill tsf.

I don't know if that's possible but who wants to come here & get thrown in ICE detention.

...despite having illegally seized Crimea and starting up a conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

So sadly, I don't see this changing.

Although it should.

4. Canada and Mexico are co-hosting the 2026 World Cup. They could absorb the US games.

The Olympics are a different beast altogether. Delaying them 2029 in hopes of a change to a Dem administration (similar to the 2020 to 2021 delay in Tokyo) might be an option if the world is concerned.

14. Actually Canada & Mexico couldn't absorb the World Cup very easily.

There are 16 stadiums being used as part of the World Cup. 11 of them are in the US (3 in Mexico, 2 in Canada). I believe that 16 stadiums are required in order to meet the schedule that has been laid out for the games. The US stadiums are generally significantly larger than stadiums in Mexico and Canada. Only the stadium in Mexico City is on a par size wise with US stadiums. Moving to much smaller stadiums would result in a significant drop in revenues gained by the event. In fact, in submitting the bid for the World Cup, 4 additional Canadian Stadiums submitted bids to host games but were rejected and 3 others were contacted to submit bids but didn't. That's an indication that there is unlikely a sufficient number of stadiums between Mexico and Canada that either meet FIFA regulations or are even willing to host games.

World cup will stay but I think the fans from Latin America will stay away from US played game. Would not put it past them to deny visas for teams from countries on a list banned from entering.

TACO Don will surely make this all about HIM, regardless.

NO Soccer fans from around the world coming here will drive the US economy even further down the tubes. The fear of deportation and the refusal to honor Visa requests will be enough to trigger further downturns. For the 2028 Olympics as well. For the World is watching and perhaps we will see BOYCOTTS even here as TACO Don's threats continue.

That is my 2 cents worth.
