Brown University Bows To Trump
The Ivy League school agreed to pay $50 million to workforce development organizations in Rhode Island over 10 years as part of the agreement, along with other concessions in line with President Donald Trumps political agenda. Brown will adopt the governments definition of male and female, for example, and must remove any consideration of race from the admissions process.

(604 posts)Trump's university was a fraud because it was never legally registered as a university. He used the word university like it was just a generic word like crosswalk. Any lawyer could have told Trump there was a process to follow which he either didn't know about or ignored. The state of Florida sued him over his fake university until he paid Pam Bondi a big campaign contribution. When she was asked why she never returned it to Trump, she complained that this would have made it look like a bribe!

So she kept it and removed all doubt it was a bribe!

(17,398 posts)Hillsdale was told by the Federal Government in 1978 that they were in violation of Title IX compliance by not providing the required documentation and reports on their student body. Hillsdale's response was since they did not directly receive any federal funding, they were not required to submit the documentation. The court ultimately agreed.
However, the Federal government then told them that they would therefore cancel any financial aid grants and prohibit federally backed student loans to any student who attended. In a related case about the same time, in 1984, the Supreme Court ruled in Grove City College vs. Bell that the government could require that compliance and was permitted to withhold any money to their students. Hillsdale then created its own loan and grant program funded from their endowments, and has not accepted not has been given any Federal $$$.
