You better shop around
It's not just a song title anymore (although it's a great R & B song). That's my advice to all Dems before 2028. We have tons of great candidates to consider but remember: they will be auditioning for us.
One of the candidates who seems to be auditioning (and has been on the offense since trump won) is Chris Murphy. I am impressed because he told his fellow Dems to "wake up" months ago right after the election and has been hitting trump hard on all fronts. Here's an example of action he took today: "Today in the Appropriations Committee, I will offer an amendment to prohibit the Qatari jet that was gifted to Trump (which is going to cost taxpayers $ 1 billion) from being transferred to him personally."
No surprise, though, the R's voted to allow trump to take the jet with him when he leaves. As Murphy points out, the fight against corruption has to be ceaseless and he is walking the walk. Does this mean he's my candidate? Not yet. I'm still shopping.
