Senator Elizabeth Warren falls in the Senate Chamber......

Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren took an accidental tumble while on the Senate floor.

Moseying around atop the Senate chamber's blue carpet floors Warren, 76, can be seen on video deep in thought.

She then halts and attempts to lean back on a desk at the front of the chamber.

Suddenly, it tilts over and sends the senator crashing onto the desk.

Lawmakers immediately ran over to help the Massachusetts Democrat climb off the historic desk.

Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., were the first on the scene offering a helping hand to the 76-year-old lawmaker.

Warren's office did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail's request for comment.

The incident happened late on Wednesday evening as the Senate worked to get President Donald Trump's nominees confirmed.

It was the damn desk that let her down. They don't make them so "resolute" these days!

Because otherwise this might be the first recorded instance of Ted Cruz showing basic human decency.

. . . however . . . as an EMT who has run rescue for 12 years in a county where 38% of the population is over 65 and 1/3 of our calls were for falls.

When dealing with a fall, our first action is to check the patient for broken bones, sprains, cuts or other injuries from the fall.

Next, we ask "Why did you fall?" If you tripped over the cat -- or as in her case -- if you leaned against something that collapsed, well, you are okay. HOWEVER if you don't remember falling, or if you felt dizzy or blacked out and waked up on the floor, that could be a problem and you will go to the ER for an MRI to see if what happened to you was precursor to a stroke.

Looks to me that the fall was pure accident -- she had been on her feet, she leaned against a desk and the desk collapsed. Doesn't look as though she broke anything.

intelligence, passion, courage, and energy of Warren. Unfortunately that is not what we have today. That is our challenge to demand better representatives.

But this fall was perhaps embarrassing, but not any indication of her age. I have taken some similar spills at half her age. This was no big deal.

Nobody is too old.
Ageism is as bad as sexism and racism.

Age is just a number. What counts is job performance.

These people need to retire. The younger generation can do it.
