Netanyahu is a monster.. and the uber orthodox of the Jewish faith are not honest with themselves either

but that does not mean that every Jewish person or every Israeli should be shunned and painted with the same brush.

Hamas are monsters.. but that does not mean every Palestinian or Muslim should be shunned and painted with the same brush.

Starvation in GAZA cannot be ignored. If someone cannot acknowledge the pain and destruction done to someone else because of politics, what is the point of any of it.

This has to end. Somehow someway this has to end. The world needs to step in , these are human beings in need of our help.. this feels like the Khmer Rouge all over again and everyone in the world knew what was going on and just stood around and watched.

How would any of us feel if we were all judged by Trump being our President or Maga religious uber rightists

China, Russia, France, The UK and The USA, Israels support is dropping to 1 or 2 of those now but that is enough to continue this horror with out significant UN action.

…that go back many decades, and resentment that the US donates a tiny part of our budget for the UN’s upkeep and operations. Considering the viciousness of MAGAGOP today regarding any regulation by our own gov’t, I’m pretty sure the impotence of the UN is by design.

Netanyahu is a Far Right Extremist, his government is filled with the Far Right. Everyone on DU should condemn the bloody mess their Far Right Extremism is producing right now. Doesn't mean I don't support Israel's right to exist or defend itself, just that I acknowledge that Far Right Conservatives in Israel have seized control over their democracy and are using it to commit genocide right now.

Ironically, Hamas are also Far Right Extremists whose actions have played a huge part in causing this genocide too.

Aren't they already "stepping in" with their bullshit Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, where private American security contractors are shooting Gazans in the back?

I'm not holding my breath for additional "stepping in".

What about the rest of "the World"?

Besides letting Putin attack Ukraine, what's that traitor done, besides lead to the deaths of millions in the US and now, thanks to war and evil policy like killing USAid, millions outside?

Of those things I can control, I will use what voice I have left for peace. And fuck NAZIs, no matter their race, color, religion or creed.

I get extremely frustrated when vague solutions like "the World should step in" are offered, as if force could be applied to make Israel lift the siege of Gaza.

I would love to see it listed on a per capita basis as well.

ALL the other top nations on the list positively dwarf Israel population-wise.

Now the "Antisemitic" label is thrown at anyone who feels a modicum of sympathy for starving kids in Gaza.
That word has lost its power. It has lost its moral clarity.

And we know that not all Israeli's, not even all Israeli Jews, support what's happening. Am I guilty as an American because the Trump administration has enabled this?

What about the Palestinians and others who have supported Hamas over the years, including after October 7th? What level of responsibility do they bear because for whatever trouble caused by the regular expansion of Israeli settlements, don't even remotely deserve what Hamas did? Middle Eastern countries who have spurred hatred of Israel and Jewish people to distract from their own lack of democracy and freedom?
