Trump orders two nuclear submarines moved near Russia

Trump orders two nuclear submarines moved near Russia after ‘foolish and inflammatory statements’ from Medvedev

Donald Trump has said he had ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in regions near Russia in response to threats from former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, who said on Thursday that Trump should remember Moscow had Soviet-era nuclear strike capabilities.

Trump said in a post on Truth Social:

“Based on the highly provocative statements of the Former President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, who is now the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”[/blockquote/]

tells me that Putin said it was OK for Krasnov to announce this.

This is just Kabuki theater to make it appear that Krasnov if tough on Putin.

Will wait to see how many arms are shipped to Ukraine, there is a bill in Congress pending.

That's why he used those words specifically; because they mean nothing. And he can claim he ordered this to happen but he's full of it. Our subs are sprinkled all over key areas with an almost permanent presence and on rotation, most especially the Ohio's. Those (all but a couple) have a very specific focus and they don't go off to random places at the whims of a President. The are on very long deployments for this reason, no one knows where the hell they are at any given time, probably not even Trump. They play a key role in that everyone knows they are out there waiting for something that will likely never happen, but they are there nonetheless. And it's not an easy task to locate even one of them even if you know their general vicinity.
So this is just him bloviating again. He's full of crap.

Yeah, I get a laugh out loud kick out of a certain few people around here that say I overreact to everything and I’m just “doom and gloom“, how hilarious is that. Not talking about anyone in this thread.

re-elected I feared he might start a nuclear conflict. He’d tell himself and the world that he’s the only one with the wisdom to use these weapons correctly. It’s the ultimate expression of grandiosity.

I think you could be right about Putin as well. He’s reportedly said more than once, “Who cares about a world without Russia”. I think Putin thinks that he and Russia are the same thing.

I for one would like to know the truth of whether their sub fleet got wiped out in the earthhquake/tsunami they had a few days ago. This flexing of subs is foolish, dangerous, and unnecessary, but it is curious. Timing is everything, but I don't think that Russia will spew state secrets until they surface next to one of our assets.

Who is the Secretary of Defense? Idiots, all.

😳😳😳 Trump could start WWIII that similar what Nazis did in 1939 except different ground. Meaning that Trump would order nuclear weapons vs Russia. In 1939, Nazis started WWiI by ordering their militaries to enter Poland. Anyway, if that happens, China and North Korea would have to support Russia. India would be a Neutral country. Of course, Japan would not help cos they don’t want to help due of their experience from WWII. UK and France would not help, too. Ukraine? Nope. I guess UN may not able to deal either. This is just my projection, that is all.

Again my response was 😳😳😳 after seeing the news from Sky News which my favourite breaking news because Sky News always send notices very quickly before other news. Anyway, I hope Trump wouldn’t start new world war
