(2,094 posts)It would be dangerous to start arresting people just because you disagree with them. Trump calls for the arrest of people he disagrees with.

(4,175 posts)Fuck a bunch of due process. He will have set the precedent and the Not Very Supreme Court has ruled that the President can do any damn thing he pleases.

(2,094 posts)I'm astounded that people think that's okay. Morals and values apparently are conditional I guess. Due process should never be discarded. A tyrant is a tyrant and a danger to everyone even if I nominally agree with their politics (although I would have expected politics and values to coincide more). No one should have that power because it absolutely corrupts.

(11,037 posts)Look at Tucker - Fox fired him - he had the most viewers on cable tv - 2 to 3 million while many channels had half a million. His podcast is now second to Rogan - getting 10 to 40 million.
Dems really need someone to have a top podcast!
Tv and radio are slipping away.

(8,710 posts)We live in NOVA, so our PBS station will be fine, federal funding was only a small part of their budget.
The smaller, rural stations are the ones that will suffer, so thats where were looking to put our donations.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
