I live in a red stategovernor, senators, congressman, state legislatureand though I call and e-mail them every day (and I mean EVERY day), I swear if I issue a plea for action, they do the opposite.
Today I watched recordings showing a multitude of ICE raids. Most are performed by heavily-armed, unidentifiable mask wearers. In those that occur in private homes, the agents do not have warrants and would probably have great difficulty expressing legitimate probable cause. Likewise, I see them put their hands on American citizens, but if that action is reciprocated, they scream assault on a law enforcement officer.
What I am witnessing often appears to be kidnapping, at the least, and if the victims are brutalized (such as being incarcerated at Alligator Auschwitz) it seems more like a war crime.
It seems to me that members of Congress, with their oversight authority, are entitled to the identity of these masked agents. They are paid for by the taxpayer (including bonuses) and our congresscritters should be entitled to an employee list. Future prosecutions will require that the perpetrators be identified. I will contact my members of Congress, asking them to do this, but anyone out there with sympathetic (blue) members of Congress might suggest this to someone who would be receptive to the idea.
If our country survives, it will be necessary to prosecute war criminals. Those for whom cruelty is a part (or a perk) of the job cannot be allowed to fall back on the old Nazi claim they were just following orders. But for prosecutions to occur, we must have identification. Any ideas besides contacting members of Congress?

You would need a device that could sniff and interpret the traffic. But first make sure what you are doing is absolutely legal. I suspect ICE would have absolutely no sense of humor about this.

(114,720 posts)refusing to show any evidence of a warrant or legal authority, and that homeowner may well fire on them. All hell will break out then--I think we all know, but it is inevitable.
I don't wish it, and for that, multiple reasons, I don't own a gun, but someone will. Per the laws in many states, they (previously) would be justified in the name of self-defense, but if they are brown or black or anyone else of any gender, race, or ethnicity that is deemed "obstructive" to the effort/"cause," heaven help them. Yes, I consider all of us at risk.
Don't open the door if they come to your house. We're out in the boonies. In our case, they'd have to climb over a 6' locked gate, and past 3 barking dogs (2 of which are well over 100 lbs.)
If you're out and about, I would not obey any orders from unidentified masked men. You may end up on the ground, but if you scream like hell--"RAPE!" I bet you'd at least get them on multiple cell phones. I don't see how they can claim assault on a police officer if you can't tell they are one. There have been impersonators that are using ICE tactics to grab women for nefarious purposes.
Self defense and/or stand your ground laws is going to get some of these unidentifiable thugs blown away.
