The Texas Redistricting Plan Illustrates One Thing:

The Republican Party has no intention of having fair and free elections in 2026 and will do anything to keep Trump's criminal cabal from accountability.

What is the Democratic Plan to counter electronic vote flipping?
I pray to God we're not going to just hope for the best yet again!

Respecting the voters went out with the Powell Memo in the early 70’s, but now it’s about how they will ratfock the process to install the preferred head of the bro-ligarchy…

Maybe it really is time for the country to break up into smaller ones, has occurred to me.

7. Get over it.... They think redistricting is almost an annual event now

There has been three prior redistricting done that were entirely illegal. One was actually drawn by the courts which were heavily republican. The two others were done outside of the census (redistricting was to be done after the census meaning every ten years) and were drawn entirely by republicans. Texas is about the crookedest state in the union. The governor has been in office since Bush was sworn in as President.

We have to be fighting back even ruthlessly if need. Republicans don’t intend to play fair.

Then merge the more rural heavy Republican districts.

Lying, cheating, manipulating, conniving, "using certain forces" in our election (as stated by the Russians) -is not winning.

17. We need paper ballots going forward.

At least for the next few elections. Paper & markers can't be hacked. We're adults...we don't have to know the results 2 minutes after the polls close. The powers that be will scream about "not enough time" to print ballots or some such bullshit, but it'll be just that...bullshit.

We will unfortunately also need serious oversight by independent agencies, possibly even UN. We have got to deal with the fact that Rethugs will be pulling out ALL the stops to rig the next election because it's the only thing that will keep them out of jail.
