So he dished up some casual racism on live TV this morning

This is what he said about undocumented farm workers: "People that live in the inner city are not doing that work. They've tried, we've tried, everybody tried. They don't do it These people do it naturally. Naturally...they don't get a bad back, because if they get a bad back, they die."

As Sherrilyn Ifill pointed out on bluesky, the "inner city" people are blacks, and "these people" are Latino.

The 2026 Midterms are 15 months off, to be precise. 17 months till those elected take office.

We won't take the Senate, and SCOTUS has given MFer free reign to ignore Congress (should Dems win the House Majority).

And BTW, I agree that calling Sherrilyn Ifill a racist is a bit of a stretch. Her work speaks for itself. But I didn't want to get into it seeing as the poster identifies as coming from the Inner City. You handled it well. Of course "inner city" has been universal code for "black."

Inner city people are just as much white as they are black as well. That is a racist statement point blank. I was born and raised in the inner city (I'm white) and there were and are many, many, many white people still there. People need to stop with their generalizing.

is pointing out that trump is using a codeword for black people because apparently he has some hesitation to just state that he thinks black people are lazy or whatever. As usual, there's a lot of dishonesty mixed with the racism.

Sherrilyn Ifill is accusing trump of using a codeword, not using it herself. She is just pointing out that that's what he is doing. She's not condoning it at all, in fact quite the opposite.

Just how the hell are "people that live in the inner city" supposed to get out to the areas where this work exists?

He's so stupid that he probably doesn't even know that farms are a very, very long way from the "inner city" and are not served by public transit.

Tue Aug 5, 2025, 06:01 PM

That is: why Blacks live in the inner city, and why Latinos work
the farms.

I guarantee you... it has nothing to do with physicality.

It has more to do with the way racism worked in rural areas,
and that 4 million Black people were forced to starve to death
after the Civil War.

WHEN?

How many more years? We’ve got three-and-a-half years to go, just in this current nightmare. I find myself wondering how long after the end of this miserable four-year term will we have to wait, before he’s gone?

And I don’t mean merely gone from the White House. I mean GONE. (As in “The BIG Gone”)? WHEN will he be “no longer a factor” as they say in aviation.). Or shuffling off his mortal coil. I’m sure we’ll eventually have other villains to cope with. But none of ‘em can out-asshole the donald. Could well be another 70 or 80 years before another scheming schmuck at his “level” steps up to claim the “crown”.
