Library of Congress explains edit to constitution....

A Facebook post from the Library of Congress' Constitution Annotated site explains the lost section of the constitution. The site links various court cases the the constitutional clause to which they pertain. The site / page was being edited to link in a new case and a typo in the editing caused the omission.

Here is their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/libraryofcongress

The explanation is at the top of their feed. Its a picture, so I can't cut and paste the text.

A man stands at the fork. You want to get to TruthVille and not LiarsVille. The man tells you that he'll only answer one question. To get to TruthVille is your goal. What would your one question be?

Consider the man at the fork in the road as possibly being trump himself. You don't know for sure though...

The Best Question to Ask:

"If I were to ask you which road leads to Truthville, what would you say?"

Then, take the road he points to.

Why it works:

If he is from Truthville, he tells the truth about what he would say, and would truthfully point to the road to Truthville.

If he is from Liarsville, he would lie about what he would say — but since he always lies, he would also lie about his lie, which leads to the truth.

So, either way, he will indicate the correct road to Truthville.

Is that you assume that the liar always lies consistently. The problem of course is that most liars do not lie consistently - they lie about just enough to muddy the water. This is what makes lying so dangerous - it is never binary.

someone I've met a couple of times over the years, was fired by Trump, and replaced with one of Trump's quislings.

Carla Hayden was one of the most respected librarians in the country. She was replaced with Todd Blanche, the attorney who represented Trump in the hush money scandal and who has absolutely NO experience as a librarian.
