NEWS: Trump administration planning for surge in federal law enforcement in DC Thursday & Friday following assault on a well-known former DOGE staffer, sources tell me & @HolmesLybrand

Officers from ICE, FBI, National Guard, along with local DHS agents will be part presence.

earlier report: Attack on former DOGE staffer known as ‘Big Balls’ prompts Trump to threaten to federalize DC
https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/former-doge-employee-nicknamed-big-023217147.html

...so, the pretext for this fascism is ONE assault on a government contract worker?

"Big Balls," who's the former DOGE staffer who was supposedly attacked isn't even a D.C. resident, and wasn't even transported to the hospital. It's not that the assault and theft didn't happen, it's just that nothing in that event should justify the president of the United States occupying the city in any form or fashion other than his, or government's defense.

In no way is the assault of a former contract worker for the government a credible pretext for a federal government takeover of what essentially opperates as a (unrepresented) state.

These 'takeover' reports in the media should begin with the repeated noise from Trump and others in his administration for months now, arguing that D.C. crime rate makes it their imperative to not just take over the police dept, but take over the entire city.

Imagine that.

A city whose residents have zero representation in Congress, already subject to congressional rule on national legislators' will and whim who aren't residents there, under occupation by this republican president's deputized thugs because THEY decide - not the people who live there - that THEY know better than the local elected officials about how to manage what will never be Donald Trump's or any other out of state legislator's own.

...and the crime rate in D.C is going DOWN.

Total violent crime for 2024 in the District of Columbia is down 35% from 2023 and is the lowest it has been in over 30 years, according to data collected by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and announced by United States Attorney Matthew M. Graves.

In addition to the overall violent crime reduction, homicides are down 32%; robberies are down 39%; armed carjackings are down 53%; assaults with a dangerous weapon are down 27% when compared with 2023 levels, with the District reporting the fewest assaults with dangerous weapons and burglaries in over 30 years.

https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/violent-crime-dc-hits-30-year-low

And Trump also believes he owns New York City:

"We're not going to have -- if a communist gets elected to run New York, it can never be the same. But we have tremendous power at the White House to run places when we have to," Trump said in early July, well before his "big balled" opportunistic false flag was attacked and carjacked.

"We could run D.C. We're looking at D.C. We don't want crime in D.C. We want the city to run well," he said. He said his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, was working with Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser.

While it's true that the mayor of D.C may have been doing everything from abandoning the 'Black Lives Matter' Plaza where the late John Lewis left his convalescence for terminal cancer to stand there proudly in support of the people; to trying to remove sanctuary city provisions which limit law enforcement's cooperation with immigration officials; there isn't a wit of support among the 40% black population for a modern-day plantation master making decisions about where they live in place of whatever little political power they still control.

I get this sense that most Americans are still seeing the targets and victims of this totalitarianism as 'others' who are in some way responsible for their own oppression because of the constant barrage of dehumanizing and profiling lies from the very top of leadership in the nation; portraying us as threats by mere virtue of our dark skin, or ethnicity, or where we live.

Make no mistake. This D.C takeover isn't about illegal immigrants, like the justifications in NY and California; it's about Donald Trump owning the nation's capitol and subjugating the people there to his false and contrived authority over them.

"We have tremendous power at the White House to run places when we have to," Trump said. Not just D.C. or New York City, but all 'places' which roll over to his creeping totalitarianism. We can see how easily Trump has moved from a invented 'national emergency' on immigration, to an opportunistically announced 'emergency' advantaging a simple assault. and robbery, which local police are already handling.

This is an arrogantly sloppy false flag event. But that won't matter a bit as Trump's activated troops spread out around the city that's been southern congressmen's pet paternalistic project for decades, and pretend they're simultaneously protecting residents as well as owning them.

Since the nazis are using this attack on Coristine to lock down DC, and assuming it is true Coristine did not go to the hospital, the wounds sustained by Coristine are likely fake. While it's possible some kind of thing happened to Coristine, the nazis would have made certain Coristine went to the hospital to document his wounds in furtherance of the political narrative.

Sometimes people go to places and put themselves at risk in order to have their needs serviced.
Not saying he did, but someone should sort it out so we have a good picture of what really happened.
A guy called "Big Balls" falling victim of crime is worthy of explanation if it results in the Federal Government occupying a city.
If that's the beef, EVERY city in America, ANY city in America should be occupied by troops.
Oh, wait... I forgot. That's what we do now that The Greatification is rolling along.

7. Big Balls alleged assault was lame
Thu Aug 7, 2025, 05:20 AM
Aug 2025
Coristine was assaulted around 3 a.m. Sunday in the city’s Logan Circle neighborhood by a group of teenagers attempting to carjack him and a woman whom police identified as his significant other, according to authorities.

The Metropolitan Police Department said the group approached the couple’s car and made a comment about taking it. Coristine pushed the woman into the vehicle for safety and turned to confront the group. At least several of the teens then attacked him, police said, until officers patrolling nearby intervened. As officers moved toward the group, the teens fled on foot.

Two 15-year-olds from Maryland were arrested on charges of unarmed carjacking, police said.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-threatens-federal-takeover-of-dc-after-attack-on-former-doge-worker

Overview
Logan Circle is one of the city’s trendiest neighborhoods, drawing a fashionable young crowd to 14th Street’s stylish home-decor stores and hip restaurants, gay bars and craft beer pubs. The long-established Studio Theatre presents boundary-pushing contemporary performances, and offers acting lessons. Charming, well-preserved Victorian houses are grouped around the leafy namesake traffic circle.

Actually seems like a pretty lame crime to me. The teens "made a comment " about taking the car. They made a comment nota demand no weapons. A comment. Big Balls turns to confront the teens and was attacked? And police patrolling intervened and "moved toward the group"
So the police were there patrolling and actually stopped this alleged crime from happening. It seems the police had it under control.

Who was the woman?

While Trump claims that crime is "totally out of control" in Washington to justify a possible takeover of the nation's capital, crime has dropped dramatically in the city, with violent crime down 26% from last year. @AnnaSpiegs

By the numbers: Crime is down year-to-date compared to 2024, according to MPD's tracker:

Violent crime: ⬇️ 26%
All crime: ⬇️ 7%
Robbery: ⬇️ 29%
Homicide: ⬇️ 12%
Aggravated assault: ⬇️ 20%
Sexual abuse: ⬇️ 48%

16. Violent crime in DC declines, but when it happens it's deadlier
Fri Aug 8, 2025, 05:48 AM
Aug 2025
July 24. A new report released Thursday finds violent crime in cities across the country is generally moving in the right direction, compared to last year. In fact, in many cases, violent crime is now lower than pre-pandemic levels in many places.

That’s according to the findings of the Council on Criminal Justice’s midyear report. It looked at crime trends around the country, including in D.C., Baltimore and Richmond.

While not at pre-pandemic levels yet, Lopez said carjackings, in particular, have seen noticeable declines since a dramatic spike starting in 2020 and in 2023. But the numbers also show there’s no escaping how much deadlier violent crime in D.C. has become.

“Lethality has climbed significantly,” Lopez said. “We look back to 2012 lethality — again, that share of violence that ended a homicide — that increased by over 300% from 2012 to 2024, even though if the homicide rate drops. So, the violent situations can be getting less frequent, but when those violent situations occur, they more likely end in a fatality than over a decade ago.”

...and doesn't cover the lies Trump is telling about crime in D.C.

And you must notice that he's not sending troops into red states.

...this report is old, but it hasn't changed much, and is revealing of the politics behind this takeover and the favoritism on this issue he's shown to states that voted for him.

The crime rates in red states are generally higher than the national average. For instance, the murder rate in red states was 33% higher than in blue states in 2021 and 2022, with the average red state murder rate being 24% higher than the blue state average from 2000 to 2022. Additionally, red states have consistently had higher violent crime rates compared to blue states, with the top 10 murder rate states being dominated by states like Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama.

The red state murder rate was 33% higher than the blue state murder rate in both 2021 and 2022.

2022 was the 23rd consecutive year that murder plagued Trump-voting states at far higher levels than Biden-voting states.

8 out of the 10 states with the highest murder rates in 2022 voted for Donald Trump in both 2016 and 2020.

From 2000 to 2022, the average red state murder rate was 24% higher than the average blue state murder rate.

Red states like Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama are America’s murder capitals and have had the highest three murder rates for 15 of the last 23 years.

The excuse that sky high red state murder rates are because of their blue cities is without merit. Even after removing the county with the largest city from red states, and not from blue states, red state murder rates were still 20% higher in 2021 and 16% higher in 2022.

..."lethality" is a canard in this instance.

The things the media will do to avoid this very salient point about the places republicans live who are claiming Democratic cities are so out of control.

The things they will do to justify this federal government's military takeover of Democratic cities.

21. why would that justify a government takeover?
Fri Aug 8, 2025, 11:42 AM
Aug 2025

...which is what is being discussed here?

What justifies Donald Trump deciding he knows better then the governors, mayors, city councils, and local police how to manage their crime?

All of those were actually elected by the majority of residents to manage their own affairs.

What is superior about the federal government who can't even manage to keep rioters who attacked the actual nation's Capitol in jail- whose president pardoned around 200 people accused of assaulting police; whose president pardoned the founder of the underground illicit drugs marketplace Silk Road during the first two days of his new administration; pardoned two police officers who were convicted in the 2020 murder of Karon Hylton-Brown, a 20-year-old Black man...

We're supposed to believe that a president, whose criminals that he's pardoned, willy nilly, just keep committing crimes, is some kind of crime-fighter?

The man convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records, essentially election fraud, who is still lying about his crimes?

The man who stile national security documents, many still unaccounted for and presumed missing?

The man found liable for fraud for inflating his net worth to dupe lenders?

The man found liable for defaming and sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll?

What part of this says Donald Trump is legitimately concerned about crime in the Democratic cities he's invading and occupying with armed troops?

How many more criminals is Donald Trump going to release after they're caught by police, or after they're convicted?

...then:

https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/carjackings-decline-dc-defendants-face-57-count-indictment-spree-armed-carjackings-and

...again, the fact that there was another carjacking, or that there most certainly will be another, is not legitimate pretext for the Trump administration to federalize the D.C government OR their police forces.

They need to continue cooperating, as they clearly have been with successes which neither the president or OTHERS seem to want to acknowledge; without any need for this totalitarianism directed against Democratic cities.

The two in custody will perhaps be charged with assault. Really, the only one who says anything about an attempted carjacking is Coristine himself, and his statement in the report is pretty vague: he heard them making comments about taking the vehicle. Or so he told the police. It's not even reported as a direct demand for the vehicle.
