We had a gift card from TR and ate there Wednesday. The manager that came to our table to ask how the food is was a ... w h i t e m a n ... there were white male servers there as well. As tight as the job market is getting, the restaurants around me is still looking for bodies who wants to work. To fulfill some neo-ayrian quota is quite a ways down the list.

(60,320 posts)DEI is not discriminatory. It provides training and mentoring so that disadvantaged groups get a fair shake. I don't have to explain this to you. But to answer your question: DEI does not violate federal law.
They are trying to attack the fiduciary responsibility of the Board and management to maximize shareholder value. There may be some federal law related to that but there are SEC regulations and civil litigation which are probably more pertinent.
They hope that by raising a stink over a fake issue, they can damage the brand enough to decrease share value and then to invoke the other things.
