We already paid our dues last year—my clutch is still waiting to be replaced thanks to Helene, and my son finally got his car fixed after Milton dropped a tree on it. I’ll be majorly pissed if we get hit again this year, but I’m afraid the new normal is going to be endless fucking disasters here. Why didn’t I troll for a lovely Scotsman to take me away from all this when I was young enough to score one? I’d even take a Canadian and learn to deal with winters again. *sigh*
