MSF's frontline medical testimony on systematic mass casualties from GHF sites in Gaza

This breaks my soul.
The tweet contains a video of the Head of MSF speaking to Sky News, but here is the report itself.
THIS IS NOT AID. THIS IS ORCHESTRATED KILLING
MSF’s frontline medical testimony on systematic mass casualties from GHF sites in Gaza

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has documented in a new report the “horrors witnessed by MSF staff at two clinics that regularly received mass influxes of casualties” following Israeli violence at sites run by the GHF, the Israeli-US proxy that has militarized food distribution.

Between June 7 and July 24, 1,380 casualties, including 28 dead, were received at MSF’s Al-Mawasi and Al-Attar clinics in southern Gaza, located near the GHF-run distribution sites.

During those seven weeks, MSF teams treated 71 children for gunshot wounds, 25 of whom were under the age of 15.

The report states: “Faced with no alternatives to find food, starved families frequently send teenage boys into this lethal environment, as they are often the only males in the household physically able to make the journey.

Patients have also included a 12-year-old boy hit by a bullet that had passed all the way through his abdomen, and five young girls, one of whom was only 8 years old and suffered a gunshot wound to her chest.”

MSF General Director for MSF Spain Raquel Ayora, says:
“Children shot in the chest while reaching for food. People crushed or suffocated in stampedes. Entire crowds gunned down at distribution points,”

“In MSF’s nearly 54 years of operations, rarely have we seen such levels of systematic violence against unarmed civilians.”

“The GHF distribution sites masquerading as ‘aid’ have morphed into a laboratory of cruelty. This must stop now.”

An initial analysis of the gunshot wounds among patients arriving at the Al-Mawasi clinic found that 11 per cent of the gunshot injuries were to the head and neck, while 19 per cent were to areas covering the chest, abdomen, and back. By contrast, people arriving from the Khan Younis Distribution Centre were far more likely to arrive with gunshot wounds to the lower limbs.

MSF says: “The distinct patterns and anatomical precision of these injuries strongly suggests the intentional targeting of people within and around the distribution sites, rather than accidental or indiscriminate fire.”

The report continues: “In May, Israeli authorities sought to dismantle the UN-led humanitarian response and replace it with a militarized food distribution scheme operated by GHF. All four GHF-run distribution sites are in areas under full Israeli military control, and “secured” by private American armed contractors. The GHF has been touted by the Israeli and US governments as an “innovative solution” – a supposed answer to their unproven claims of aid diversion in Gaza and unfounded accusations of UN failure. The sites are nothing but a deadly scheme, institutionalising the Israeli authorities’ starvation policy of Gaza that started on 2 March, with the full siege they imposed on the Strip as part of their ongoing genocidal campaign.”

People who manage to secure any food rations at the sites often face the risk of violent looting and theft of aid by other starved people. MSF says its medical teams were required to add a new acronym to their patient registry: BBO – Beaten By Others. This refers to people injured either in the crush of the crowd or by being beaten and robbed of their supplies immediately after receiving them. It is dehumanisation by design.

Aitor Zabalgogeazkoa, MSF emergency coordinator in Gaza says:
“On 1 August, the same day the US special envoy to the Middle East visited GHF sites, 15-year-old Mahmoud Jamal Al-Attar was killed around the Al-Shakoush GHF site while trying to get food,”

“He arrived at the MSF Al-Mawasi clinic after being shot in the chest.”

“We treat only a fraction of the total number of people killed and injured at these sites. There is no other way to describe the murder of children as anything but intentional,” says Zabalgogeazkoa. “Despite the condemnations and calls for dismantling it, the global inaction to stop GHF is baffling.”

2. I don't know anyone under 30 who watches the US media

I can't even remember the last time I watched it. It's been years.

In other news, TikTok has hired an Ex-IDF Instructor to shape what news we get. She was an instructor in the IDF's Spokesperson's Unit.

In what alternate universe do you hire someone affiliated with an army currently under international investigation for genocide in Gaza to lead hate speech policy on one of the few platforms where we can see the unfiltered truth about Gaza?

The news gets more depressing by the day. If I had to watch the MSM, I'd probably toss the TV out the window. They're infuriating.

Eric Fingerhut, President and CEO of the Jewish Federations of North America, said in March 2024 that “TikTok has helped fuel a horrific spike in antisemitism that our communities are feeling every day, and it’s time to take action.”

8. I don't know anyone under 40 who has cable, but I'm past that age ... just a little :)

there are still some good anchors on MSM so I want to support their shows and easy to switch channels while doing on tasks at home. It does become redundant sometimes though!

Ali Velshi is covering the Sanders fighting oligarchy tour now.

But you are correct about other avenues for information, today there is a choice.

I remember when there where few channels and you had to get up to change the channel and maybe play with the antenna.

Hopefully I've taught my children well, we had it easier back then in some respects. Too much info is both a blessing and a curse.

7. From the report: " My question is: how high is the price they have to pay for one bag of food?""

“I have four young children. I had no food, nothing at all — not even a
piece of bread, no flour, nothing. They said there was an aid point by the
sea. We said we’d go get something for the kids.
You find [at the GHF distribution site] what seems like two million
people gathered around five pallets of food. They tell you to enter, you
go in, you grab what you can — maybe a can of fava beans, a can of
hummus. Then a minute later, gunfire comes from every direction.
Shells, gunfire — you can’t even hold onto your can of hummus. You
don’t know where the gunfire is coming from.
People were running over each other. You can’t imagine how people
were all running. You don’t know who is with whom — everyone just
wants to flee. I didn’t even realise I had been shot. While I was running,
I collapsed to the ground. Everyone is screaming. You can’t even tell
what they’re screaming about.
Whoever tells you it’s aid — this is not aid. Are we supposed to go get
food for the kids and die?”
Ahmed, 1 June 2025

“I’ve worked in many war zones and violent conflicts with MSF, but I
have never seen anything like this. I was prepared to treat war-wounded
patients — injuries from explosions or shelling — but I was not prepared
for this. This has been one of the hardest experiences of my life:
watching people severely injured or killed simply for trying to get
food. None of us were prepared for that.
What strikes me most is how desperate people must be. They know the
risks. They know the killings are ongoing. And still they walk through an
active conflict zone just for one packet of spaghetti and three bottles of
oil. Can you imagine the level of desperation that drives someone to do
that?
The violence we are seeing — it’s serious. Really, really serious. People
are being shot like animals. They’re not armed. They’re not soldiers.
They’re civilians carrying plastic bags, hoping to bring home some
flour or pasta. My question is: how high is the price they have to pay
for one bag of food?”

10. I can barely stand READING about this savage cruelty.

I have never in my life known about such cruelty, inflicted deliberately yet casually.

Yet Palestinians and their children have to LIVE it every day.

Just filled with fury at anyone still making excuses and even more at our Western so-called civilization and cowardly useless complicit "leaders".

11. Me too. I am running out of words. The heartbreak gets worse every day
Fri Aug 8, 2025, 10:54 PM

Helpless, numb, angry. The whole world feels like it’s collapsing from the weight of all the evil-

The heartbreak of fellow Jews supporting genocide and/or prioritizing their discomfort and disrupted senses of safety over the violence and carnage being inlicted on Gaza... We could be doing more to stop the death and destruction to respect the legacy of our families murdered by the nazis, and save the more difficult semantic conversations for when the killing is stopped. But instead the loud focus is on hurt feelings and discomfort, with plenty of denial thrown in. I will never be the same. Something has broken inside me.

I'm ready to dive off a cliff. We're so fucked.

Please hang in there. You are doing amazing work. It's better to feel the pain now than live in denial until you are whacked on the head with it, with no escape.

It is hard to see the lack of compassion and denial. For Jews, doubly so.

You are not alone, as you know. For one, here:

I know I'm not alone. I belong to several online Jewish groups that don't tolerate any hasbara and or its spreaders. They help keep me sane, as do you, some fellow Jews here and the many righteous posters who support justice and have chosen to bear witness. Thank you for that link. I'm going to check it out now.
