1. No kidding. It's hard to see a path out of this.

The right wing has money, the trifecta, a number of key states, the media, most of social media, billionaires willing to spend to help them, and a long-term plan going back decades.

They are consolidating power by further intimidating opposition. Universities, holdout parts of the media, opposition politics, businesses. They are all being threatened, sued, prosecuted, extorted, blackmailed, or otherwise punished through selected tariffs, delayed or denied regulatory approvals, etc.

And yes, ICE is now larger than the FBI, ATF, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service, and Bureau of Prisons, at least in terms of funding.

It should be seen as a military entity, charged with ethnic cleansing, and why would they stop at people who seem Hispanic?
