Putin didn't want a Peace deal in January because for the last 6 months they've strengthened their position on the battlefield and are in a better negotiation spot right now...
Zelenskyy mentioned the other day that giving up Donetsk and Luhansk wasn't out of the question but by law would require a nationwide vote.(referendum)
