tax the guns

the NRA wants an armed cop in every school. I wonder what kind of tax on guns and ammo they'd accept to pay for it.
how about 20% on guns,10% on ammo to start. and its thats not enough make it 50%....

Tax the powder, primers and the slugs, the same as we did cigarettes.
Also put tracers in the powder, with bar codes on the containers, with records for each transaction, traceable back to the manufacture. We can do it with ear tags for livestock, why not for this?
