I live in the Chicago area.

There's a "Five Guys" right here in Schaumburg, so I looked it up online. A cheeseburger runs $11.69, bacon cheeseburger $13.59. So the total here would likely be about the same. I would consider Five Guys kind of high-end when it comes to burger joints; most places would run less. Okay, it sounds crazy expensive, but it isn't the restaurant's fault. Quality ground beef is quite expensive. Their food costs must be crazy.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
