The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold

Apple CEO, Time Cook, gave Trump a gift, not a bribe. Tim Apple is a great guy.

The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold, and his company got a special exemption to tariffs the president has illegally imposed.

Also, the Founders took bribery so seriously the Constitution bans it 3 separate times.

I can imagine him showing off his bribes to friends and family.
"And this is the gift Tim Cook gave me when I fucked the country"

Sad that a cheap, shiny object is all it takes to buy compliance.

I don't think any President personally keeps "gifts" bestowed on them while in office...I remember seeing an entire display once of gifts given to Presidents by other foreign leaders and business magnates...

The gifts include rare paintings, gold plated firearms, jars of jellybeans and tapestries and much more.

Probably just as well. Where would the National Archives keep a $400M jet?

the pedofelon gets to keep after his term (if it ever "ends"...) as his private 747 flying golden palace, charged on the national debt's credit card...

Trump doesn't get to keep anything over a "nominal" value, which means insignificant trinket without the consent of Congress.

There's also the matter of Constitution (Article I, Section 9) and the Foreign Gifts Act of 1966 and 1977. If he wants to keep the airplane, he can but he has to pay "fair market value" for it.

So, no...

They took boxes and boxes of government documents and who knows what else. As far as I know he still has all those documents still at his mansion in Florida.

Do you think they won’t do it again?

It will be 'donated' to the Trump Presidential Library.

Besides, the pedofelon doesn't give a crap about either the Constitution or Congress, so it's his and the taxpayers get to pay the capital plus interests.

You don't understand the obvious law here....No president gets to keep anything beyond "nominal" gifts. If they want something that was given to the office of the President, then they must pay fair market value when their term ends.

Justice matters.

I'll tell you what happens: N.o.t.h.i.n.g. and he knows it.

It should be clear to everyone by now... the pedofelon gets away with every single crime, fraud, rape, you name it, he did it, and look where he is right now. Anyone stopped him? Insurrection included...

I'd just posted here how I don't own any Apple products.

anyway...

Don't these grovelers realize that one day, somewhere, someplace, books will be written and movies made about the horrors of Trumpism, and America under Trump's rein? Those who brought it about and those who were COMPLICIT?

That they (like Hitler and Nazi Germany) will be reviled, rebuked and denounced - their names (and legacy) MUD in the annals of history?

Or do they figure the rest of the world will just rewrite and romanticize it all - spin it via some "Lost Cause" bullshit?
