It's more Republican Good Santa/Bad Santa bullshit. Remember, the deficit always goes up way faster under Republican Administrations than under Democratic Administrations.

We will lose money from these "cuts". Despite MAGA rhetoric, most government agencies were created for a solid reason. When those reasons are no longer being addressed, we have problems. It's like trying to make your car run more efficiently by removing the gas tank and the brakes.

If Democrats take control again, they will be responsible for fixing this crap. That will cost lots of money. The Republicans will be howling about the "out-of-control" spending and block any progress they can on that basis. Democrats will be demonized for fixing the problems caused by the conservatives. the oligarchs, the think tanks.

And, if the past is a guide, it will work with American voters, and all those Independents showing their disapproval of Trump in the polls will be right back voting for another supply-side, oligarch-funded Republican crank.
