SCOTUS may have given drumpf absolute immunity in the worst decision since... Dred Scott? But they didn't grant it to everyone else.
So I hope someone, in planning for a future law-abiding president, is keeping track of all these things.
So when drumpf fires the IRS commissioner, and keeps firing them until he finds someone that will give him whatever returns he wants, I hope someone keeps track of the name of the person that eventually breaks the law. because unless they get a pardon from drumpf, there is nothing protecting them from prosecution.
I hope someone is keeping track of all the executives at Paramount that signed off on settling the 60 minutes settlement knowing full well it was a bribe to get approval of their merger. Because unless they get a pardon from drumpf, there is nothing protecting them from prosecution.
I hope Tim Cook got a pardon for handing drumpf a golden gift in exchange for a tariff relief. Because there is nothing protecting him from prosecution.
If we are lucky enough to ever again have a functioning government, and admittedly there is no guarantee of that, taking down drumpf's cronies is only half the problem. Our society needs to make it clear: collaboration with future fascists will end you up in prison, no matter who you are.
