The report shows Wilson advocating for a Christian nation and entertaining the idea that women should not vote.
I would like to see this nation being a Christian nation, and I would like this world to be a Christian world, Wilson said.
The clip also shows fellow pastor Toby Sumpter, saying, In an ideal society, we would vote as households, and Jared Longshore, another pastor, saying he would support repealing the 19thAmendment.
Amy Prince, a parishioner interviewed for the segment, said her husband is the head of our household, and I do submit to him.

(26,401 posts)relationship tries to skip on any alimony, child support payments, etc., dumping everything onto her.
I still keep seeing tons of YouTube videos where people will hide excess payments made to them, under fake or their sister's name, claim that they don't make any money, thus unable to pay much, if anything, etc. It's amazing to me to see them run for the hills so fast to avoid paying anything. Pathetic actually.

(2,795 posts)is because women are far more likely to vote Democratic than men. Most men are politically dumb and refuse to see the truth the GOP politicians don't care about them. It is an attempted voter suppression tactic, but it is impossible--yes, impossible--to undo a constitutional amendment given the fact 3/4 of Congress and the legislatures will never repeal woman suffrage. They may attempt a backdoor scheme like the SAVE Act, but outright repeal? Nope.

The Pentagon chief already had a reputation as a far-right culture warrior. Then he promoted a video featuring pastors opposed to women voting.
Among the problems with Hegseth amplifying a video featuring Christian nationalists saying women shouldn't be allowed to vote:

The Pentagon made no real effort to distance Hegseth from the ridiculous content. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

In the post, Hegseth commented on an almost seven-minute-long report by CNN examining Doug Wilson, cofounder of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches, or CREC. The report featured a pastor from Wilsons church advocating the repeal of womens right to vote from the Constitution, and another pastor saying that in his ideal world, people would vote as households. It also featured a female congregant saying that she submits to her husband.
While its important to emphasize that Hegseth didnt explicitly endorse the idea of repealing voting rights for American women, he nevertheless thought itd be a good idea to promote the video, alongside his own written message that read, All of Christ for All of Life.
Pete Hegseth shares video that says women should submit to their husbands and shouldnât be able to vote or serve in combat:

âHe is the head of our household and I do submit to him.â
Whats more, the secretarys office didnt make much of an effort to distance himself from the video Hegseth amplified. A Pentagon spokesperson told the AP that Hegseth is a proud member of a church that is affiliated with CREC and he very much appreciates many of Mr. Wilsons writings and teachings.
Hegseth has also spent months purging several women from leadership posts within the U.S. armed forces.
