Dude Complains about NY State Mcmansion tax

On our city's FB page some guy was saying how terrible he thought it was that NY State charges higher taxes on super extravagant homes.

I really wanted to reply, hey guy, if you feel so sorry that the millionaires and billionaires have to pay their fair share of their taxes, you should start a Go Fund Me page for them. Plus you should be it's first major donor. I held back though because it's still a relatively small community, and I didn't want any major backlash.

I just don't get why people defend the Uber wealthy so much when the vast majority of them inherited their money, or lied, stole, and cheated their way to the top, committ tax fraud, and only a handful give to the less fortunate. With a few exceptions I view most of them as narcissistic assholes.

2. An anecdotal example. . kroger and safeway finally settled contract

negotiations with the unions. The workers have been without a contract since January, as kroger either refused to negotiate at all, or just dragged their feet. But the workers will not be getting their paltry raises dating back to January, but only from the appoval wo weeks ago. All that money that kroger and safeway should have been paying, was busy making the corporations even richer. And that isn't even taking into account all the paychecks they screw up. .missing hours, wrong pay, deliberate errors that seem to take forever to resolve. Once again, making them even more money.

4. The common man should start businesses like Bernie Sanders talked about where employees owned the business

I bet there would be less of the crap that capitalist pull to screw the worker and fewer layoffs, etc. That would put the fear of god in the wealthy and they would fight that type of organization like fury. You see when employee owned business began it just might be more popular than them, profits you know

5. Kind of like my idea to put all insurance companies out of business. In Europe they pay less and get more. So there is

a business opportunity there. My idea is that with enough money, an insurance company is set up with a charter that prohibits expensive executives, says "yes" to everyone needing care, and has a monitoring computer system to identify possible misuse by patients or providers. If it flags someone, a friendly call is made before any action is taken. A company like that would put the others out of business in a year.
