I'm betting there's not a whole lot of coal miners in that audience.

To be clear, I am ALL FOR shutting down coal mines. But I also have family (very liberal, politically active, Bernie supporters, NOT coal miners) in WV, and even they will admit that that the economic impact is and has been a huge factor.

We need to shut down coal mines, but the people affected need to see a better path forward for their lives. I know Dems have made some policy attempts but haven't solved it. It is a difficult issue. Speeches won't fix it.
