The Capital wants us to play The Hunger Games.

As they send out their forces to evict (or disappear?) the poor of Washington D.C.

The GOP is the literal rich man in the parable of Lazarus. The poor are right in front of their gates and this rich country sends out its imperial legions to show them cold contempt and violence.
Oh but we are told by the regime media that Mike Johnson and the GOP are very honorable men. Scratch behind the surface of the smiling accountant and the hypocrisy smells like fire and brimstone to me.

Our rights are tied to the heft of one’s purse and a person’s capacity for groveling before the swells.
This won’t last as the US is in cognitive dissonance in an age where that can’t be hidden. A reckoning will come and you can feel it build like the ocean water receding as you stand on the shore.

Thanks for the safe place to exercise the fragments of my mind this morning. I want to write and find peaceful moments but, like you all, my heart is a raging sea.

And will I see you at the Hanging Tree?

The Hanging Tree

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree?
Wear a necklace of hope
Side by side with me
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met at midnight in the hanging tree

The unhoused stay in metropolitan areas because that's where they can access necessary services like food and medical care, banishing them would be a death sentence to many.

Excellent post.
