Is anyplace safe?

People live near volcanoes and earthquake faults, on islands that are being destroyed by rising sea level, near polluting factories, in war zones, etc.

Instead of asking why they don't move, is there anyplace that is safe?

Fascist governments, theocracies, failing health systems, persecution, oppression, hatred, the list of threats and dangers seems limitless.

And yet, nothing is done.

Have a nice day.

In most parts of the world, life expectancy is increasing. Globally extreme poverty has decreased, indoor air pollution has decreased, literacy increased, access to safe water, global famine deaths have dropped dramatically.

And compared to what time in the past have we had more democracies, better health systems, same sex, minority and women's rights around the world? The U.S. is definitely sliding some, but overall, when would you think was better even here? The 1960s when black people were being clubbed for trying to vote and women couldn't have a bank account without their husband?

Is everything perfect? Of course not, but for all the flaws in the world, it's still better than the past.

You are presenting a very optimistic portrait of the US, the richest country in the world.

Things are relatively medieval in many places around the world.

Slavery, genocide, and human trafficking, seem to be as popular and prevalent as in the "good old days" of ancient empires.
