LOL ... "just asking questions" by presenting a false premise as if it were true?

Voicing "frustrations and fear" based on misinformation as if it were true?

I'm just asking... what good purpose does it serve? When I hear things like that online, it always sounds more like a smear and an attack than someone who's legitimately curious or someone who's legitimately looking for comfort and reassurances.

I think we're all worried and a little frightened. And I'd offer a hug... but I'm angry now. Our stalwart and loyal Democrats and our great Democratic party does not deserve to be denigrated and smeared with falsehoods and innuendo.

Those things only serve to divide and weaken. It only serves to create distrust and a belief of the perpetual lie that "both sides are the same".

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
