Another Democrat Cosponsors Epstein Files Release Bill

Democratic Representative Shontel Brown (D-OH-11) has become the latest lawmaker to sign on to Representative Thomas Massie’s bipartisan resolution demanding the release of all government records related to Jeffrey Epstein and his associates. Brown added her name on August 7, 2025, bringing the total number of cosponsors to 44.

Her addition underscores the growing momentum behind the legislation, as lawmakers across party lines unite around transparency and accountability in the Epstein case.

This surge in support follows earlier expansions in the resolution’s coalition, including seven Democratic additions on July 29 and two more on August 5. Advocates continue to emphasize that despite vocal demands from some of his political base, Trump has not made the files public—prompting Congressional action to ensure the documents see the light of day.

This is very good news! A lot of our elected officials recognize how important this is, and are doing their part. The grass roots needs to pick up the pace in telling all elected representatives -- from both parties -- to take action to release the files, hold hearings, and call witnesses.
