If the Republicans were truly Machiavellian.

(This is totally a hypothetical and I know it's not going to happen)

We know Republicans will cheat and do everything to win in 2026, but they are looking at a potent slaughter by Democrats in the 2026 mid-terms.

The GOP should do an about face and turn on Trump. They should impeach him, get rid of his stupid tarrifs so the stock market soars and proclaim themselves the party that saved democracy while the Democrats sat there and did nothing. They could quietly keep there Project 2025 in motion as people aren't paying attention and Vance could be a kinder, gentler Trump still with the billionaires still calling the shots.

Remember politics today is so much more about perception than reality.

So my question is this: Why does Trump still have a hold on all Republicans? Is it just the fear of being primaried? Are they afraid of Trump’s vengeance? Are they taking payoffs from Putin? Are they being blackmail over Epstein?

Discuss.

The rats are required to remain onboard, republicans are required to remain at their stations. This is how it should be. There is no better advice for republicans than to keep doing what they have been doing.

Trump took over the RNC years ago, and he controls its money spigot and chooses who to support. Anyone who does not kneel and kiss his butt gets no money and gets primaried.

I think they know he's unlikely to be around in 3 years so just think they'll clean it up as best they can when they need to.

They are all magapubs and believe in the Dictatorship.

They don't believe in Democracy which is why they have been running around screaming about a 'Republic' since 1965.

The only cure is Us and the depths and extent of cruelty we can inflict on them to make certain this never happens again.
