That's in the first sentence of the "Declaration of Independence"
"that all men are created equal"
And later in the text:
"with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"
The problem is, these truths (without the "Creator" fairy tale) where never truly applied in 249 years and a month.
On edit: And women were not mentioned (as in not equal?)...
